Adult reading lesson, journals: Dear Diary

I’ve never been good at sticking to just one topic. Start me on the subject of tomatoes and I’ll be talking about rain barrels before you’ve finished your tea. I call them my “scattered thoughts” — little trails that wander from one idea to another, sometimes looping back, sometimes heading somewhere entirely new. This space is where I follow those trails and see where they lead. Some days it’s herbs in the garden, some days it’s a poem I can’t stop thinking about, and other days it’s the call of a bird I’m trying to name. I hope you don’t mind coming along for the ramble.
