Return to the Activity Menu and let’s now practice with Sight Reading Recognition.

This activity continues with the same read-aloud sentences you've just practiced. This time, one of the sight words has been hidden.  

What word is hidden?

Speak the missing word. Use the audio button to listen to the whole sentence and hear the missing word.

Type the missing word in the blank space and ‘check’ it.

Note: Read the whole sentence aloud before listening to the audio. Often, the meaning of the sentence helps reveal the missing word.

When ready, move on to the next sentence. Remember – these are the same sentences listed in the mini-dictionary.

When you have reviewed all the sentences, the practice session starts again at the beginning, hiding another random sight word.  

Practice with the sight words for 5-10 minutes.
