Spend five minutes exploring these five words together in the Mini Dictionary.

Once you are familiar with the pictures, meanings, and example sentences, the matching exercises become an enjoyable review rather than guesswork. (The images, definitions, and rhymes are used in the matching exercises.)

For each word, the Mini Dictionary provides pronunciation, a definition, an image, rhymes, synonyms, antonyms, a simple read-aloud sentence, and a discussion prompt.

That's a lot of information. You don't have to use it all in this lesson.

The objective is to use your experience with the word to help recognize and remember its printed form.

Use whatever helps.
