Workbooks support adults learning to read through guided practice with words, sounds, and everyday topics. They can be used independently or with a coach to build reading skills step by step.
For example, coaches can use workbooks during tutoring sessions and encourage learners to practice online between sessions.
Free Printables
The workbook contents will open in a new tab. Use the browser print function to print. By default, some web pages have dark backgrounds — if necessary, turn off background graphics before printing. Also check that print scale is set to 100%. Landscape or portrait orientations should both work okay.
We also offer a free downloadable package containing a sample curated workbook that brings selected lessons and exercises together in a single, book-style PDF, along with a guide showing how to assemble your own curated workbooks using the site’s free materials.
If you prefer ready-made book-style PDFs, optional polished workbooks assembled from the site’s free materials, together with new and adapted passages, are available at payhip.com/AnnaAmpleton for a nominal fee.
The easiest way to print these optional lessons is to open the references page, select the desired lesson to open it in a full window and then use the browser 'print' function to print it. (Use narrow margins.)
The workbooks may include images that are copyright protected. Download or print a copy for learning sessions but please do not publish or redistribute images. Images are provided via GuidedReadingJourney.com © 2018–2026.
