To create a week’s worth of lessons, we’ll begin by opening Workbook Mode in the drill 1 learning module.

Workbook Mode lets us build a small collection of words from any drill. Your selections are stored in your own browser, so you can return later and continue where you left off. If you wish, you can clear your workbook at any time.

For the practice activities, we’ll need at least five words. You can choose individual words, an entire row, or an entire column.

For this demonstration, I’ll select the first row. That gives us five words built around the letter b, while introducing all five short vowel sounds: bad, bed, big, bog, bug.

And those five words will become our word list for today.
