Our final activity for today is Practice Pronunciation.

This tool is part of the Mini Dictionary, which we'll explore in a later video.

For now, all you need to know is that you can press the pronunciation symbols one at a time to hear how each sound contributes to the whole word.

You don't need to learn the pronunciation symbols themselves. They simply provide a way to listen carefully to the individual sounds that make up each word.

If hearing a word one sound at a time helps your learner, spend a few minutes practicing each of the five words you've selected. The tool can also spell the words aloud.

If any word or exercise gives you or your learner trouble, write it down now so it can be included later in reviews.

Spend five minutes playing with the tool. You can return to it anytime you think slowing down and listening to the sounds of a word is useful.
